About the protein: MYOC - Myocilin precursor (Trabecular meshwork-induced glucocorticoid response protein). The STRING database recognizes that this protein may participate in the obstruction of aqueous humor outflow in the trabecular meshwork.
Interestingly, myocilin is also known to be an acidic protein with an isoelectric point of 5.2 (10).
